Committed to the future
GRI Renewable Industries contributes to the development of the wind energy sector, which is key to decarbonizing electricity generation and shifting the economic model toward a more sustainable future. The company is committed to creating long-term value in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Value Creation and Sustainable Management Model
Our value creation and sustainable management model is based on trusted relationships with all stakeholders and is structured around three pillars: Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG). The goal is to enhance positive impacts on customers, industry, the environment, and society as a whole, while leveraging the growth opportunities offered by this global framework.
Strategic Pillar
GRI Renewable Industries has integrated Sustainability as one of the seven pillars of its 2023/26 Strategic Plan, providing guidelines to drive the growth of industrial activity. The company works along four lines of action: environmental impact, labor relations and human rights, ethics, and supply chain.

Responsible environmental management is one of GRI Renewable Industries’ core values and a cross-cutting element of the company’s strategy. Decarbonization and circularity are the two pillars driving the transformation of its processes, achieving efficient use of resources (energy, materials, etc.) and reducing environmental impact.
GRI Renewable Industries’ commitment to the environment begins with the certification of its Environmental Management System under the ISO 14001 standard. Currently, 95% of the group’s factories are certified.
Carbon Neutral Plan 2030-2050
For GRI Renewable Industries, being a low-carbon company implies being part of an important commitment to climate change, assuming a series of actions that promote and contribute to mitigate our impact. For this reason, we defined and approved the "Carbon Neutral 2030/50 Plan" and incorporated it into the company's decision-making, business strategy, management and performance.
Our goal for 2030, across all geographies and markets
- Reduce emissions associated with fossil fuel consumption by 50% (base year 2020).
- Ensure that 100% of the electricity consumed by the company comes from renewable sources.
Track the progress of the Carbon Neutral Plan annually through our public information reports.

One of GRI’s priorities is to support local development in the areas where we are present. To this end, we have established collaboration agreements with non-profit organizations to develop corporate and local activities of various kinds.

Strategic and Transparent Commitment
Our social action is evolving towards a strategic and transparent model aimed at strengthening our social performance. We are redirecting our efforts towards projects planned with clear criteria of impact and coherence. This approach allows us to maximize impact and ensure transparency.
We promote projects with a positive social impact that benefit thousands of people every year, in partnership with strategic allies. Each initiative is designed to generate verifiable social benefits and reinforce our commitment to our people.
The Social Action area works along three fundamental axes: community development, social well-being, and inclusion, promoting the creation of decent employment, training, and support for projects that strengthen the social fabric in the communities where we operate.
Our commitment is to anticipate social expectations and respond with initiatives that generate shared value, transparency, and tangible results, fostering more inclusive and sustainable work environments.

Internal control
Since 2015, GRI Renewable Industries has implemented a General Internal Control Framework based on the COSO methodology. This framework includes an internal control policy and committee, as well as key control structures at both the entity level (ELC) and the process level. Processes with a risk of material impact on financial information are documented, and controls have been defined to prevent, detect, mitigate, and correct errors in a timely manner. Process documentation, flowcharts, and matrices are available on the Leading the Change portal, accessible to the entire organization. Key controls are evaluated annually, considering financial risks from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives.
Between 2015 and 2022, effectiveness evaluations of controls were carried out at plants and corporate level, combining independent testing and self-assessments. In 2023, it was decided to transform the Processes and Internal Control Department into GRI’s Official Taxonomy, reviewing the process map and issuing the Zero Standard, which regulates the issuance of internal standards.
During 2024, the reassessment of processes with greater financial impact was intensified, and new processes were developed to complete the internal control framework. This initiative, with a 2023–2025 horizon, includes a comprehensive review and update of the framework, key processes, risks, and controls. Once mature and consolidated, effectiveness evaluations through testing and self-assessments will resume across the company.
