GRI participates in the tractor project INNCODIS (“DEVELOPMENT OF AN INNOVATIVE INDUSTRIAL ECOSYSTEM FOR A COMPETITIVE, DIVERSIFIED AND SUSTAINABLE NAVAL SECTOR”), approved by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, within the Perte Naval incentive program.
Specifically, GRI is leading the primary FLOATWIND project, whose main objective is to research new solutions for the design and manufacture of superstructures for floating offshore wind.
The execution of the project will revolutionize the manufacture of marine superstructures for new generation wind turbines by introducing new advanced materials, innovative technologies in welding and defect detection strategies, and improved surface treatment processes. This transformation, supported by digitalization and Industry 4.0 technologies, will optimize production and improve structural quality.
