CDTI Innovation has agreed to grant funding to GRI Towers Sevilla S.L. for the development of the R&D Project “Development of a self-balancing collaborative robot based on neurofuzzy models with nonlinear control laws (SELFBALANCE)”.
The main objective of the project is the development of a collaborative industrial welding robot with intelligence for self-balancing, based on neurofuzzy control models with non-linear control laws, which allow adaptation to the disturbances of the process and represent a new manufacturing route for wind superstructures such as offshore towers or monopiles.
This new robot will be a reference in the development of new circular welding manufacturing routes for large truncated conical parts such as towers and monopiles in the offshore wind sector, in such a way that it allows the assembly of the complete section before the welding process that will be carried out continuously, as well as with the possibility of changing the internal and external welding sequencing for the application of new Disruptive bezels for the industry.
This project is co-financed by CDTI Innovation.
