The Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) has agreed to grant funding to GRI Towers Sevilla, S.L., for the development of the “VAICO” R&D Project at the beginning of 2021. This project, based on the “Disruptive Intelligent Artificial Vision Solutions for Offshore Wind Components”, will allow GRI Towers Sevilla to develop the first intelligent and high-precision artificial vision system, for the detection of complex structural defects derived from the longitudinal and circumferential welding process, as well as surface defects of the raw material in real time of onshore and offshore wind towers. This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Multi-regional Operational Program of Spain 2014-2020. This project is alienated.
