New Production Line for Large-Format Offshore Bottom Flanges

The main objective of this project is the conversion and adaptation of a manufacturing line currently in operation at FIHI Forging’s facilities, originally designed for the production of parts weighing up to 35 tons, in order to enable it to manufacture a new strategic product within the wind energy sector: large-format offshore bottom flanges.

The project includes the integration of new technologies, the upgrade of existing equipment, and the optimization of production processes, ensuring compliance with the demanding quality and sustainability standards required for this type of component. It is also expected to significantly improve operational efficiency and manufacturing flexibility, enabling the production of larger and more complex parts.

With this investment, FIHI Forging reinforces its commitment to industrial innovation and the energy transition, actively contributing to the development of key infrastructure for clean energy generation at a global level.

This project is funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, within the framework of programs aimed at boosting economic recovery, industrial transformation, and progress towards a more sustainable and resilient energy model.
